This is one of my favourite summery dresses that has been hiding in my closet until warmer weather finally arrived. I felt it needed a little extra pop of colour, and then realized how very patriotically American I looked in this ensemble once having added the red belt. But they're also the colours of the Union Jack, and since my background is British I guess that works too! The tie on this dress had the pesky habit of blowing around in the wind off the water, hence the awkward unwanted accessory in these photos, ha.
For the third in my latest series shot by
Nancy Thomas Photography, we decided to head down to the boardwalk along the water in downtown Charlottetown. It was a gorgeous day and lots of people were out enjoying the sunshine like Nancy and I. It's finally feeling beautifully springy on this Island and so I am trying to get outside as much as possible to enjoy it. The boardwalk is really the perfect place to do so, it's lovely along the water with a cool breeze blowing and the smell of salt in the air. Walking there is always one of my favourite things to do, I must say.
Thanks again to
Nancy for her uncanny ability to make me look my best!
