What's in a name?
A lot of people have already asked me about the name Lot 65, and are especially curious to know where it comes from. When I was deciding on a new name for my blog, I was trying to think of one that sounded modern and fresh, that would grow with the blog, but that still held meaning for me. Lot 65 seemed the perfect fit. Why? Well I'm originally from Prince Edward Island, and although I had to move away from my beloved isle to find a job, my heart definitely remains loyal to my island home.
What those of you not from PEI may not know, is that way back when (think late 1700's) PEI was divided into lots, which for the most part were owned by absentee landlords back in Europe. So I took a look at the area where I grew up, to see which of these lots it fell into. The answer? Lot 65! And so the name of the blog was born.
