Bookstores of New York

I don't think you have to be a librarian - just a book-lover will do - to love exploring bookstores large and small. There are many the world over that I would love to visit (for example) but I would love, someday to visit the many bookstores of New York. So of course I was instantly enamoured by this illustrated series by Bob Eckstein in the New Yorker, featuring many unique bookshops, and the stories that they had to tell. I admit, I am eagerly awaiting the second installment in this series. See the rest of his illustrations here.

Oh, these illustrations are just too wonderful! I may not be a librarian but I am certainly a book lover and I love to explore bookstores all over the world but I expect the bookstores of New York have a unique charm that is entirely their own.
