In spite of the fact that the weather man is calling for rain rain and more rain this weekend, I can't help but be hopeful that at least a little bit of sunshine will make its way through the clouds.

In my daydream of sunshiny days, I put together a few of my weekend essentials. First and foremost, a good book to read. I got an ARC of Swimming to Elba a few weeks ago and haven't found time to read much of it, so that is definitely on my to-do list. 


Another requirement for this pasty redhead? Serious sunscreen. A must. Other must-haves? Hydration, and sunnies. Aside from that, as long as I have an easy, breezy, comfortable ensemble and some flat sandals, I'm a happy camper.


Based on the forecast of rain, I'll likely spend much of the weekend curled up with a good book. But you can be sure that if the sun shines through, I'll be taking my book to the beach!
