So there are many quotes from iconic Island author Lucy Maud Montgomery that I absolutely love, but this is one from her most famous novel, Anne of Green Gables, that I admittedly love a little less than her others. This is due, most likely, to the trauma of growing up on PEI as a redhead in the wake of Anne-of-GG focused tourism, but I have to say - this perfectly illustrated quote from Anne Shirley herself could not be more true.
